Frequently
Asked Questions
Q. Why do I need this service?
A. Everyone is aware that we have certain documents that establish who we are and what we own. These documents, such as Birth Certificate, House and Auto deeds, Stock Certificates, etc. are also very hard or impossible to replace. Organize Your Estate
(OYE) will help you organize and locate all of your documents. When a major life change occurs, you and your family will have easy access to all of your necessary documentation.

Q. Why can't I do this myself?
A. You can. However, most people find the volume of paperwork overwhelming and give up. OYE will be there coaching, helping, and using our expertise until all of your assets, benefits, and documents are in order.
Q. I am not comfortable preparing for death or illness. Any advice?
A. Instead of preparing for death, think of it as preparing for life. You
may be expecting a child or grandchild. It is imperative that you keep
their information (Social Security Number, Blood Type, Immunizations) in an
easily accesible and secure location. OYE provides you with two copies of
all of your information. One in a slip case binder for easy reference and
the other copy on a computer disk. Keep one copy outside of your house.
Never keep original documents in a file cabinet or small safe in your
basement. In the case of fire, flood, or theft the time involved to replace
them would be tremendous. We advise you keep originals with your attorney
or in a safe deposit box.
Q. How much does this service cost?
A. There is an hourly minimum rate of $100 per hour and a non-refundable $300 deposit.
Depending on your preparations, a typical individual averages from $1-3,000.
